Which Flysurfer is right for you
Flysurfer built its name on closed-cell foil kites, but the current line-up also covers tube kites, wings, parawings, twintips and control bars. Here is what each model is designed for and the rider level Flysurfer rate it at. Tell us your weight and home spot and we will size it, free of charge.
Foil kites
- SOUL4 — the all-rounder of the foil range — freeride, freestyle and hydrofoil, five sizes from 7 to 18 m. Beginner to expert.
- SONIC5 — built for big air and hangtime, aspect ratio 6.4–6.9. Intermediate to pro.
- SUPERSONIC — ultra-light closed-cell foil for kitefoiling in light wind and long-distance runs, 12–22 m. Intermediate to pro.
- VMG3 — Olympic Formula Kite racing, 9–21 m on 12 m lines. Pro only.
- PEAK6 — single-skin with the B-Safe system for touring, snowkiting, freeride and foil, 2.5–11 m. Beginner to pro.
- HYBRID2 — half closed-cell, half single-skin: from 0.56 kg, packs small and relaunches two ways. For learning, foiling and travel. Beginner to intermediate.
- FOX — a 1.5 m trainer with a three-line safety system for learning kite control on land; Flysurfer recommend it from age six.
Tube (LEI) kites
- ERA2 — five-strut big air kite for strong wind and kiteloops, 6–14 m. Intermediate to pro.
- HELI — three-strut performance freeride kite that Flysurfer call their easiest to jump, 6–15 m. Beginner to expert.
- STOKE4 — three-strut wave and freeride kite with strong drift, 4–12 m. Beginner to intermediate.
- INDIE2 — light one-strut kite for progression, light-wind foiling and travel, 9–15 m. Beginner to intermediate.
Wings and parawings
- AVID — freestyle and freeride wing on a UPE Aramid (UX10) frame, 2.5–7.0 m. Beginner to pro.
- TAO2 — freeride, wave and big air wing, with Rigid Handles or a BOOM, 2.5–7.0 m.
- POW2 — single-skin parawing for surf, progression and freestyle, 1.7–5.5 m.
- ZAP — double-skin parawing for performance freeride and downwinders, 3.0–6.5 m. Advanced to pro.
Boards and bars
- RADICAL8 — freeride twintip in three sizes, 132–144 cm.
- SHOT — big air twintip, 132 and 135 cm. Intermediate to pro.
- STAGE2 — light-wind and progression twintip, 159 × 45 cm. Beginner to intermediate.
- TRIP3 — travel splitboard that comes apart for the suitcase, 137 and 142 cm.
- FORCE3 — four-line bar for progression, freestyle and waves: 47–55 cm, 17 + 3 m lines, LINK quick release to ISO 21853:2020.
- FUSION — four-line bar in 47, 52 and 60 cm with the LINK quick release (ISO 21853:2020).
- CONNECT3 — four- or five-line touring bar: B-Safe with the PEAK, 4-line FLS only with the HYBRID.
- SYNC Carbon Race — carbon race bar for the VMG, 12 m lines.
