Description

The FORCE³ is Flysurfer's all-round control bar, covering most of their kite range. One size with adjustable width, 47 to 55 cm, and the headline is the certification.

ISO 21853:2020. Not "meets standards" but a certified product. The LINK quick release was tested dry, wet, sandy, cold and freezing, loaded and unloaded. The body is predominantly red with no sharp edges — so you can see it under stress and so it will not trap fingers. The bars are assembled in a facility certified for the Olympic Games.

Quick release with a bearing. The LINK has an integrated ball-bearing swivel, so lines untwist freely with minimal friction. The chicken loop clicks in.

Modular eyelet — for riders who rotate. The bar shaft converts from automatic to manual untwisting: two metal pins come out with an Allen key. Without a line separator the depower lines wear less, and you can steer and depower simultaneously without restriction. The maker recommends this setting for technical big air tricks and board-offs with multiple rotations.

Winders. Fibreglass-reinforced polyamide with moulded EVA padding. The centrepiece pops out at the press of a button, giving access to backline adjustment — attachment points and line length, set to your kite and your habits.

Two limits Flysurfer state outright. First: the FORCE³ is not B-Safe compatible — if you need the five-line system, that is the CONNECT³. Second: it is not recommended for the PEAK 2.5 or the HYBRID 2.5 and 3.5.

Lines. 17+3 m supplied plus 3 m extensions, up to 23 m total. Depower throw 50 cm. Weight 1.08 kg. The maker publishes two detailed line-length tables — one for foil, snowkite and buggy riders, one for twintip and wave — with a row per kite and size. Tell us your model and we will check it against them.

Chicken loop. The small loop is standard, for hooked-in riding. A freestyle safety ring and a larger loop are available separately for unhooked riding.

In the box: the bar, LINK quick release, 17+3 m line set, 3 m extension set, PLEASURE bar bag, short safety leash, safety guide.

K1 instructor's take
“We ride this gear ourselves and teach on it. The main thing is picking the size for your weight and wind: bigger in light wind, smaller when it blows. If you're unsure, message us — we'll put together an honest setup, no upselling.”
