Description
The FUSION is Flysurfer's freeride bar and probably the most versatile in the range. The stated skill span is the full one: beginner to professional.
The INFINITY system is what people buy it for. After a rotation or a downloop the front lines are twisted, and normally you untwist them by hand. INFINITY does it for you: load the bar and the lines separate. It works off a ceramic ball bearing inside the LINK quick release. The side effect is welcome — the depower lines chafe less and last longer.
A note on the name. If you are searching for a "Flysurfer INFINITY bar", it no longer exists. INFINITY is not a model any more but the bearing system inside the FUSION and the SYNC Carbon Free. The standalone bar of that name is discontinued.
ISO 21853:2020 certified. The LINK quick release was tested dry, wet, sandy, cold and freezing, loaded and unloaded. The body is predominantly red, with no sharp edges or finger traps. Assembled in a facility certified for the Olympic Games.
Modular eyelet. The shaft converts from automatic to manual untwisting: two pins come out with an Allen key. Without a line separator there is less wear and complete freedom to steer and depower at once. The maker recommends this setting for technical big air and board-offs with multiple rotations.
Click-In chicken loop. It latches in one movement. The standard loop is small, for hooked-in riding; a freestyle safety ring and a larger loop are available separately for unhooked.
One limit, stated by the maker. The FUSION is not recommended for the PEAK, VIRON or VMG. For the PEAK that means the CONNECT³; for the VMG, the SYNC Carbon Race.
