Before you buy
- Check that the policy explicitly covers extreme sports, including kitesurfing — many standard policies exclude it
- Check that medical care abroad is covered: a domestic policy often isn't
- Look at the maximum coverage — it matters in case of a serious injury
- Buy it for your whole stay, especially if you plan to ride every day
- Russian citizens can calculate and buy a policy online on the Russian version of this page
Frequently asked questions
Is insurance included in K1 lessons?▾
Lessons include equipment insurance: damage to the learning gear is on the school. Your health is covered by your own sports or travel policy.
Will my normal travel insurance cover kitesurfing?▾
Often not. Many policies exclude extreme sports or need an add-on. Read the exclusions or ask the insurer directly before the trip.
Do you check insurance before lessons?▾
Before lessons or rental our instructors check your insurance and give a safety briefing.
Can I buy insurance in Mui Ne?▾
You can buy a policy online before the trip or once you are in Mui Ne. We can recommend insurers with good terms for kitesurfers and surfers.
