A wave in Mui Ne — what our boards are built for

Made in Mui Ne · Vietnam

Custom Surfboards, Bodyboards and SUP Boards in Mui Ne, Vietnam

A board built for your height, weight, level and waves. A shaper in Mui Ne builds it by hand, and K1 runs your order: we go through the brief, pick the dimensions and let you test the idea on the water. PU, epoxy or carbon — with your own design.

What we build to order

Surfboards

Surfboards

Shortboard, fish, mid-length or longboard — built for your height, weight, level and waves. Volume and length are chosen with you, not from a chart.

Kite surfboards (strapless)

Kite surfboards (strapless)

A board for riding with a kite without straps: a reinforced deck for harness loads and jumps, with optional inserts for pads.

Bodyboards

Bodyboards

Sized to your height and weight, with a core suited to warm water and your own artwork on the deck. For yourself, for kids, or as a batch for a school or rental.

Hard SUP boards

Hard SUP boards

All-round, wave and downwind boards. A hard board glides and tracks better than an inflatable — we'll choose length and width for the way you paddle.

Construction: PU, epoxy, carbon

PU + polyester resin

Pros: The classic feel: smooth flex and a board that sits well in the wave. Easier to repair.

Cons: Heavier than epoxy and dents more easily.

EPS + epoxy

Pros: Lighter and more buoyant for the same size, tougher against impacts. A good choice for kite surfing, SUP and first boards.

Cons: Livelier and stiffer on the water — in bigger waves some riders miss the softer PU feel.

Carbon

Pros: Carbon reinforcement or a full carbon wrap: maximum stiffness and strength for the least weight. Kite surfing, race and downwind SUP.

Cons: The most expensive option, and a stiff board is less forgiving of technique mistakes.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a custom surfboard cost?▾

The price depends on the board type, length, construction (PU, epoxy or carbon) and how complex the artwork is. We give an exact quote after the brief — fill in the form or message us on WhatsApp.

How long does it take to build a board?▾

It depends on the workshop's schedule and the construction. We give the lead time together with the price. If you need the board before your trip ends, get in touch early and put the date in the brief.

PU or epoxy — which is better?▾

PU with polyester resin gives the classic soft flex and is easier to repair. Epoxy on EPS is lighter, floatier and tougher against impacts — the usual choice for kite surfing, SUP and first boards. Carbon is the stiffest and lightest option for advanced riders.

Can I have my own artwork or logo?▾

Yes: colours, artwork, logo and lettering are agreed before work starts. We also build batches of boards with a school or rental logo.

How do I take the board home?▾

We'll help pack it for the flight. Sports equipment is carried under your airline's rules and fees — check them before you book.

I don't know what volume I need. Can you help?▾

Yes, that's the main part of the job. We pick the dimensions from your height, weight and level, and you can ride boards from our rental before ordering.
