New Year in Mui Ne: surf, kite and wingfoil holiday packages

Late December and January are the peak of the north-east monsoon: wind almost every day, usually 18–25 knots, building towards midday. It is the best time of year for kiting and wingfoiling; mornings are lighter, which suits first lessons. Surfers get wind swell, best in the morning.

Accommodation is per room (up to two guests, Triple up to three); lessons are per person. If two of you learn, set “2” in the builder and the second course is added to the total.

Yes. Choose “My own dates” in the builder — check-in and check-out between 1 December and 31 January. The price is calculated night by night: weekdays, Friday–Saturday and the New Year nights of 31 Dec – 2 Jan each have their own rate, and the course is matched to the length of your stay.

Flights are not included — booking them yourself is cheaper. In step 5 pick your departure city and arrival airport (Ho Chi Minh City or Cam Ranh); the button opens a search for your package dates. Both airports are about 3–4 hours by car from Mui Ne. A private transfer can be added to the package in the same step: €60 for a 4-seat car or €70 for a 7-seat car, one way.

Visa rules depend on your passport: many nationalities enter Vietnam visa-free for a limited period, others apply for an e-visa online. Check the official rules for your country before booking. Take travel insurance that explicitly covers water sports such as kitesurfing — many standard policies exclude them.
