Description
The SYNC Carbon Race is a race bar built for the VMG and Formula. Everything about it serves one goal: removing drag.
Why drag matters here. At racing speed the lines and the bar themselves slow you down. So the front lines are 1.35 mm with very low stretch — thinner is not possible against the loads of hydrofoil racing — and the backs are just 1 mm, carrying less and optimised for pure performance. The backs shorten on a knot adjuster. Lines are 12 m.
JETSTREAM winders. Aerodynamically shaped, for the same reason as the lines.
COMPACT quick release. The body is POM, a light, wear-resistant thermoplastic. It measures 80 mm tall and 50 mm across: a small body lets you hold an aerodynamic body position without fouling on it. The hook is titanium. The push-away ejection mechanism is race-proven.
Carbon stick with a titanium centre. Titanium does not corrode and holds structure where the load peaks; carbon keeps the weight down. Widths 55 and 60 cm.
GLIDE trim system. A 3:1 redirected system running through two low-friction pulleys — precise, light trim adjustment mid-course. Depower throw 60 cm.
Who it is not for. Anyone not racing. It is rated from advanced, and the whole construction is about the course: no B-Safe, no margin for board strikes, no broad compatibility across kites. For freeriding buy the FUSION or the SYNC Carbon Free — the latter has the same carbon stick with far wider safety and compatibility.
