The RADICAL⁸ is a twintip for riders who already ride confidently and want more of everything: speed, upwind, pop. Flysurfer rate it beginner to advanced, and the lower end is honest — the board forgives, without holding your progression back.

Stepped multi-concave bottom. The step adds stiffness exactly where it matters, which is what drives pop and responsiveness. The double concave channels water out through the tips and softens landings at the same time: the board breaks the water instead of slapping it. At speed and on hard landings you feel it immediately.

Paulownia wood core. A full-length wood core: light, strong, with the right dynamic recovery after flex. Flysurfer make a point of the timber being responsibly grown.

Made in the EU. The maker states it plainly — manufacturing in-house within Europe is what lets them control precision and material quality.

Built to survive. ABS rails, scratch-resistant topsheet, UV coating, standard M6 x 16 mm stainless inserts. None of that changes how it rides; all of it changes how the board looks after three seasons.

Who it is not for — and the maker lays out the alternatives. Want maximum height and the stiffest pop? That is the TEAM series: heavier core, flatter rocker, stiff flex. Want comfort and early planing? The FLOW: softer, planes sooner, tracks upwind more easily, less strain over a long session. Need it to fit in luggage? The TRIP splits in two. The RADICAL⁸ sits between them — calmer than the TEAM, more charged than the FLOW.

Sizes and weights. Three. 132 x 40 cm from 70 kg, 2.36 kg, tight or neutral stance. 138 x 42.5 from 80 kg, 2.50 kg, neutral. 144 x 44.5 from 90 kg, 2.66 kg, neutral or wide. Fins 45-55 mm across the range.
