How to choose wakeboard bindings
It comes down to three things. Everything else is colour and taste.
Flex
A stiff boot transfers power to the board without loss and holds the foot through a landing — which is what kickers demand. The price: it punishes a sloppy stance and tires an ankle that isn't conditioned for it. A soft boot gives freedom and forgives mistakes, but won't give you a platform on heavy landings. Medium flex is the sensible default if you're unsure.
Closure system
Straps mean fast entry and exit, which is why rental fleets buy them: no unlacing between sets. Lacing pulls the heel into its pocket more precisely and gives that locked-in feel, but takes a minute to dial in. The combination — lace below, strap above — is the compromise most riders end up choosing.
Last and width
Almost the whole industry builds on one standard-width last. A narrow foot swims in it no matter how hard you pull the straps, and tightening doesn't fix it. If your foot is narrow you need a boot actually built for it, otherwise you'll crank the straps, cut off circulation and still have play.
Open or closed toe
An open toe is for situations where one pair meets many different feet: rental, a family, a school. Two size runs cover the whole range, which saves both money and storage. A closed boot fits more precisely and holds better, but it's personal and sized to you.

Each model has its own chart — not marketing, just different lasts. Go by foot length in centimetres: the familiar EU number drifts by one to two sizes between manufacturers.

Measure your foot in a minute

Stand with your heel against a wall, on a sheet of paper. Measure standing with weight on the foot: under load it's 3–5 mm longer.

Mark the longest toe — for many people that's the second one, not the big toe.

Measure from the wall to the mark. Do both feet and use the larger: they're almost never identical.

Measure in the evening. Feet swell through the day, and a boot that fits at breakfast can pinch by sunset.
Landed exactly between two sizes? On strap bindings take the smaller one — the closure makes up the difference. On laced models, or if you ride in a thick neoprene sock, take the larger.
For cable parks and rental fleets
Let's Start is built for rental: open toe and two size runs instead of eight sizes, strap entry with no unlacing, stainless hooks and loops. The number the manufacturer gives: 600 pairs produced since 2024, six rejected. Orders from ten pairs get their own terms — write and we'll quote.
Delivery and payment
Two routes: pick-up at the K1 station in Mui Ne, or direct shipping from the manufacturer's warehouse in Thailand. CDEK across Russia and the CIS; everywhere else is quoted per order. Payment by card or invoice. Size advice is free — tell us your weight, level and where you ride.
Frequently asked questions
How do I pick a wakeboard binding size?
By foot length in centimetres, not by your shoe size. Measure standing, heel to the wall, in the evening, then check the chart for that specific model: on the Spanish Mafia an S is 22,5–24 cm, on the Savin Kirill an S is 23,5–25 cm, and the Zoe Roffi starts at XS for a 20,5 cm foot. Between two sizes, go smaller on straps and larger on laces.
How do wakeboard bindings differ from kiteboard footstraps?
Kiteboard straps hold the foot loosely and release in a crash — a deliberate safety decision on open water. A wakeboard boot locks the foot hard: it's built for kicker landings and rails, where the foot must not move at all. You can ride boots behind a kite, but crash injuries get worse, and on water only freestyle and wakestyle riders do it.
Soft or stiff bindings for a beginner?
Medium or soft. A stiff boot demands a settled stance: it doesn't forgive a rotated knee and quickly tires an ankle that hasn't been conditioned. Progress comes more calmly on softer boots, and after a season you'll know whether you want stiffness.
Will these fit a woman or a child?
You need a narrow last. The Zoe Roffi is the only model in the line built on one, and its sizing starts at XS for a 20,5 cm foot. A standard last on a narrow foot leaves play that strap tension cannot remove.
What comes in the box?
Pro models: a jersey matched to your binding size, five stickers, spare straps (laced models also get laces and locks), a 2 ml tube of threadlocker, bolts and washers. The Let's Start rental model comes with six spare black straps and the same threadlocker.
What's the warranty?
Two months on material wear and one year on the main connections: base to boot, hardware and strap hooks.
Will they mount on my board?
Yes, if your board has the standard insert pattern. Bindings ship with an EVA pad under the base, bolts, stainless steel washers and an extra zinc alloy mounting plate.
How long does delivery take?
In Mui Ne you collect at the K1 station straight away. Russia and the CIS go by CDEK from the manufacturer's warehouse in Thailand; everywhere else we quote time and cost per order — tell us the city and we'll price it before you pay.
Can I return them if they don't fit?
Yes, within 14 days, provided they're unused and in original condition. Better still, don't get that far: send us your foot length in centimetres and we'll name the size before you buy.
How is WHY NOT different from the big wake brands?
It's a small Thai manufacturer that makes boots and nothing else — no boards, no ropes. Models change when riders break something and it gets fixed in the next run, not on a marketing calendar: the external heel seam was removed and stitched internally, and the hooks went stainless after the earlier ones failed under load.
