Who it's for
Never flown a kite
We start from scratch: wind theory, the wind window, safety systems and kite control on the beach — then your first water start.
Tried it before
We refresh your skills in 2–4 hours: kite control, water start and your first rides in both directions.
Riding, want to progress
We work on going upwind, transitions, toe-side and self-rescue — with a radio helmet and in-water coaching.

Frequently asked questions
How much do kitesurfing lessons in Vietnam cost?
A one-hour private lesson is €55. Courses: Discovery (first intro) €100, Intermediate €300, the extended 8+1 hour course €400, Independent €500, and the full 15-hour course to independent riding €600. Gear, radio and equipment insurance are already included.
Can I learn to kitesurf from scratch?
Yes. Start with the Discovery course: an IKO instructor teaches you to read the wind, park the kite, use the safety systems and make your first flights. All equipment is included — you don't need your own gear.
How many hours does it take to ride independently?
Most people need 8–15 hours. After the Intermediate course you can water-start confidently and hold a direction; the full 15-hour course adds upwind riding, turns and independence on the spot.
Can I learn kitesurfing in a week?
Yes. In 8–15 hours — usually 4–7 days of 1–2 hours to suit the wind — most students go from zero to a confident water start and first rides. The exact pace depends on the wind and your fitness.
When is the best season and wind for kiting in Mui Ne?
The main season is October to April: steady 12–18 m/s wind on more than 25 days a month and warm water +26…+27 °C. It's one of the best times and places to learn kitesurfing in Southeast Asia.
What should I bring to my first lesson?
Swimwear or shorts, sunscreen and water. No wetsuit needed — the water is +27 °C. Kite, board, harness, helmet, radio and equipment insurance are included in the price.
Do I need my own kite and board to learn?
No. All the learning gear — kite, control bar, board, harness, helmet, vest and radio — is included. After the course we can help you choose and buy your first set at a discount.
What if there's no wind on my lesson day?
The lesson moves with no loss of payment. We check the forecast together the day before — our webcam and wind sensor run live at the Mui Ne spot.
Do I need to be fit, and from what age do you teach?
Ordinary fitness is enough — the harness takes the pull, not your arms. We teach from age 12 with no upper age limit.
Can I learn in a group or as a pair?
Yes. Group lessons 2:1 (one instructor for two) start from €45 per hour per person — about 25% cheaper than private. Great for couples and friends; same method and gear.
Do I need sports insurance?
Kitesurfing is an extreme sport, so we recommend taking out sports insurance to cover medical costs in case of injury. Insurance of the learning equipment itself is already included in the lessons.
