Surf camp in Costa Rica: a week at a villa above Playa Guiones
Nosara on the Pacific coast is one of Costa Rica's best-known surf towns: a long sandy beach, a steady wave for learning and progressing, jungle all around. The K1 group stays at a hilltop villa with an ocean view and surfs every day. We're forming groups for 2027 — dates and price on request.
A beach to learn and progress
Playa Guiones is a long beach with a sandy bottom: people stand up for the first time here and work on their first turns.
A villa instead of a hotel
A private villa for the group: ocean-view pool, a chef, transfers and lessons arranged by the concierge.
Check the surf from the deck
From the hill you see the whole coastline: in the morning we watch the wave and decide when to paddle out.

How the week goes
Day 1 — arrival
Airport pick-up, transfer to Nosara, check-in, dinner and meeting the group.
Days 2–6 — surfing
Morning session at Playa Guiones on the right tide, pool and rest in the day, a second session or sunset on the deck in the evening.
Free time
Yoga, a trip to the Ostional turtles, jungle and waterfalls — the concierge will help book them.
Day 7 — departure
Breakfast, one last look at the wave and the airport transfer.
The programme is a guide: we time sessions to the tide and the wave on the day.
When to go
December — April
Dry season: sunny, the wave is usually waist to shoulder high and cleaner — the best time to learn and lock in your skills.
May — November
Green season: bigger, more consistent swells — for surfers who already catch green waves on their own.
Who it's for
Beginners
First time on a board or after a few lessons — the sandy bottom and steady wave at Guiones are made for starting out.
Surfers who ride already
You catch waves yourself and want to progress — a week in the water every day gets you there faster than a lesson here and there.
Friends and families
Up to 13 people in one villa: you can take the whole place and travel as your own group.
Price and dates
The 2027 weeks, the price and what's included — stay, meals, lessons, transfer — will be in the offer: they depend on the season, group size and room. No prepayment on the site.

We'll pick boards for learning and progressing on site. You can bring your own board; ask us if you need help choosing one.
