The northeast monsoon blows from October to April: 12–18 m/s (about 23–35 knots) almost every day, usually building by midday. May to September the wind is lighter — better for surfing and SUP. Water is +26…28 °C all year.
How much do kitesurfing lessons cost in Mui Ne?
At K1: a private hour is €55; Discovery (2 h) €100; Intermediate (6+1 h) €300; 8+1 h €400; Independent (10+2 h) €500; the full 12+3 h course to independent riding €600 (the second number is free rental hours). Semi-private 2:1 is €45 per person per hour. Gear and equipment insurance are included.
How do I get to Mui Ne?
The nearest airports are Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Cam Ranh (CXR), about 3–4 hours by car. K1 arranges a private transfer: €60 per car one way (4 seats) or €70 (7 seats).
Where is the K1 station and when is it open?
On the beach of Sandunes Beach Resort in Mui Ne (Phan Thiet), open daily 09:00–18:00, with early access from 05:00 for an extra fee. The water entry is a gentle sandy slope with no rocks or reef.
Do you teach in English?
Yes. K1 instructors teach kitesurfing, surfing, wingfoil and SUP in both English and Russian, so international guests are fully covered.
Can beginners learn from scratch?
Absolutely. We teach all disciplines from zero — kitesurfing to the IKO standard, plus surf, wingfoil and SUP for kids and adults of any level.
Do you rent gear and sell equipment?
Yes. You can rent kites, boards, wings, foils and SUPs at our Mui Ne station, and buy your own gear from leading brands in the K1 shop with delivery.
