Ozone Compact V5 Control bar

Most bars are sized for adult arms and mid-size kites. The Compact V5 is Ozone's control system for riders with a shorter reach and for small kites — a good fit for children, light riders and the small kites people pull out on very windy days.

Same safety as the full-size bar. It uses the push-away Click-In Loop quick release: the handle sits comfortably in a small hand, a push releases it, and the mechanism repositions itself so you reload by clicking the loop in. The loop is AFNOR NF S52-503 certified and available in small, medium and large; the small suits riders who ride hooked in with a shorter arm reach. Attach your leash to the flag-out eyelet on the stainless swivel ring.

Build. Colour-coded bio-based Dyneema lines, 500 kg front and 300 kg back, made in Ozone's own factory with modular extensions on removable pigtails. A spinning head with an anti-twist flag-out line, ergonomic EVA grip colour-coded to the lines, soft bar ends that are kind to light boards, a CNC aluminium centre piece, a stainless leader-line pin and a PU-covered depower line.

Who it is not for. Adult riders on 9m and bigger kites will find the short bar slow to steer; the Contact Water V5 is the standard choice. Choosing for a young rider? Send us their weight and kite size and we'll check the fit.
