Ozone Snow EXP V5 Control bar

Ozone calls the Snow EXP V5 a must-have addition to the EXP kite, and the reason is the trim. It starts from the Contact Snow V5 — Click-In Loop quick release, flag-out leash eyelet on the swivel ring, bio-based Dyneema lines — and adds a double low-friction ring trim system similar to the one on Ozone's Race V5 bar.

Why it matters on long missions. Expedition snowkiting means hours of riding and adjusting power as the wind and terrain change. The ring trim makes trimming while you ride easy and comfortable, and the 6mm trim line is thick enough to grip even in polar gloves. The bar is lightweight, which counts when everything you carry ends up on your back or on a sled.

Safety. Push the handle away to release, click the loop back in to reload; the Click-In Loop is AFNOR NF S52-503 certified. Check the release before every session — on a remote plateau, it is the habit that matters.

Who it is not for. If you fly the single-skin Explore V3 for day trips, the standard Contact Snow V5 is enough. This bar makes sense with the EXP and for long backcountry days.
