Ozone Fusion V3 Ultra-X Wing

The Fusion V3 Ultra-X is Ozone's race wing, and the only model in the range with a competition record rather than promises.

Results, not adjectives. In its first two seasons the Fusion took IWSA Wingfoil Racing World Championship titles — Ozone team riders finished first and second in both 2024 and 2025 — along with the Formula World and Formula European titles. The wing is officially registered for the IWSA World Cup and Formula racing.

What makes it different is the full double surface with Ram Air tech. This is Ozone's patented construction: the wing has two surfaces, like an aircraft wing, and incoming air inflates it through intakes. An ordinary wing is essentially a sail; the Fusion is a genuine aerofoil. That's where the efficiency comes from, along with the ability to hold high speed at extreme wind angles, even in gusts.

What changed in the third version. A straighter leading edge with less swept-back tips, and reduced span on every size. That sounds like losing area, but in practice it's a gain: easier handling and more speed. The overall thickness came down while the camber went up — less drag and better light-wind behaviour at the same time.

A zero-movement boom with a centre support webbing makes the connection extremely stiff, so everything the wing does reaches your hands undiluted.

The key racing feature is trimming on the water. Without stopping, you adjust the wing's tension — which lets you sail deeper downwind angles and retain more energy. In a race, details like that decide it.

Best suited to racers, obviously. But Ozone name a second audience honestly: riders who simply want more and enjoy the feeling of flying the most efficient wing available. Not a first wing — it's a tool for a purpose, not an all-rounder.
