Description
The PLUME starts a new discipline that F-One calls K-Wing: a hybrid of a kite and a wing, held at arm's length, designed for freefly and downwind riding. It is the first model made specifically for it.
The idea. You get the glide of a kite with the comfort and practicality of a wing in your hands. F-One describes it as a new way of riding upwind to take full advantage of the swell, with a minimal design, low weight, strong stability and pure glide.
Weight. It is extremely light: 0.70 kg for the 2.5 m², 0.73 kg for the 3.0, 0.86 kg for the 3.5, 0.99 kg for the 4.2 and 1.11 kg for the 5.0. All sizes use a 41 cm vertical bar.
Sizes and wind. 2.5 and 3.0 m² 30+ knots, 3.5 25–40, 4.2 20–35, 5.0 15–30, 6.0 12–23.
Who it is not for. It is a specialist for experienced foilers who want downwind and freefly. If you are still learning to wing foil, a conventional wing such as the ORIGIN or STRIKE is the right first step.
