Description

The Liteforce V2 is a light-wind wing — the kind of gear that decides whether a session happens at all. Ozone call it the ultimate session saver, which is an accurate description of the job: getting you on the water when a normal wing simply won't pull.

Two sizes, 6.6 and 7.7 m. Both are built around low-end grunt, so you get onto the foil early and head upwind straight away.

The headline change in the second version is a carbon boom with injection-moulded components. There is no play at all where the boom meets the strut, and you feel it: the wing answers your hands immediately, without the vague lag. On a big light-wind wing that matters more than it sounds — that's exactly where control is usually lost.

The compact planform is a less obvious but very practical decision. Big light-wind wings usually catch a tip in the water during manoeuvres, and the session turns into a fight. The Liteforce V2's outline is shaped to make that happen less often.

Smaller details that add up to comfort: a stiffer surf handle for drift control, and an extra batten on the trailing edge that holds sail tension when the wind does pick up, letting you stay out longer. Fewer sail cuts and optimised shaping mean the wing holds its performance for longer.

Ozone say these are among the lightest light-wind freeride wings on the market. Best suited to riders in light or unreliable wind who don't want to miss days. As your only wing it's overkill — in strong wind you'll want something smaller.

K1 instructor's take
“We ride this gear ourselves and teach on it. The main thing is picking the size for your weight and wind: bigger in light wind, smaller when it blows. If you're unsure, message us — we'll put together an honest setup, no upselling.”
