The Reflex is built on the Vortex design but wears a different character. Three struts, a Teijin Triple Ripstop dacron airframe and a finely tuned 16-point bridle give handling that is responsive without being demanding.
The airframe material is the key difference. Dacron is softer than Aluula and twists more under load, so the Reflex turns through a loop on a tighter radius and with less power. In practice that means kite loops can be learned without fear — the kite leads you rather than yanking you. Dacron is also markedly more abrasion resistant, which matters every time the kite scuffs across the beach.
A lower aspect ratio than the Vortex gives more low-end power and a gentler feel at the edge of the range. Jumping is easy and the float is long and predictable. Ozone describes the Reflex as fully accessible from beginner to advanced — a rare case of one kite honestly covering both learning and big air.
The primary focus is twin-tip and big air, but the tight turns and softer feel also make it a genuinely good wave and foil kite. Sizes 5–13 m. Factory build time is around 25 days.
