The Connect Seat V3 is the Connect Waist V4 with leg-strap support added. Ozone developed it with its hydrofoil race team and multiple world champions Nico Parlier and Axel Mazella, and it serves two very different riders equally well: racers who need to transfer big loads, and entry-level freeriders.
Why a seat harness. From relaxed cruising to high-speed racing, it passes the pull of the kite into your legs without restricting movement, and you don't feel pressure points — no rubbing and no bruising, thanks to the sculpted shape and soft foam with neoprene layers. Beginners tend to fly the kite high, often near the zenith; with a seat harness the harness stays where it should all day instead of sliding up above your waist.
Two set-ups. Clip the leg straps directly to the spreader bar for a locked-in ride, or leave them disconnected for a looser feel. Either way they stop the harness sliding up or sideways and keep your centre of gravity low.
Details. Spreader bar fixed to a reinforced spreader pad to reduce upward twist, low-profile leash ring, pull-out hook knife, grab handle and heavy-duty webbing with webbing savers. Seven sizes, XXS to XXL.
Who it is not for. Wave and freestyle riders who want maximum freedom usually find leg straps restrictive and prefer a waist harness.
