The Connect Waist Sliding V4 is built for riders who twist: wave riders, hydrofoilers and freeriders who want maximum freedom of movement. Instead of a fixed spreader, the hook slides on a rope, so your body can rotate freely. Riding toeside becomes far more comfortable, because there is less rotational force through the harness and it stays centred on your body.
The slider. A custom hard-anodised low-friction ring is designed to fit Ozone's Click-In Loop, so you don't need to change the loop part on the quick release. You can run a quick release loop directly on the rope, but Ozone notes that increases friction and wear. The spliced Dyneema rope is very strong and long-lasting, and simple to replace when it eventually wears.
Fit. Seven sizes, worn tight and close so it doesn't ride up or shift. The ergonomic mid-section supports your back, and the harness flexes in every direction, so you feel unrestrained during manoeuvres. A low-profile leash ring is included.
Who it is not for. Sliding harnesses take getting used to: the bar pulls you around more on a twin-tip and in strong, powered riding. Beginners and big-air riders usually prefer the fixed Connect Waist V4 or the Connect Seat V3.
