Description
The Revo Max combines two things that usually don't go together: a step-up twin — a board for bigger-than-usual surf — and a performance midlength. The maker calls it likely one of the most versatile designs Thomson has created.
The stated range backs that up: under waist high to triple overhead. That spread in one board is rare, and it rests on the Vee Quad Concave bottom: a vee hull with four concaves. The vee makes rail-to-rail transitions easy; the concaves give lift and speed. Together, effortless speed at both ends of the range.
Construction. I-Bolic Core — an I-beam core with flex controlled at the rails using high density foam. Volcanic Lamination — basalt instead of carbon, the most durable in the range with elevated response.
Who it isn't for. Tomo shapes are awkward for beginners: foot placement on an MPH is different. And triple overhead in the range assumes experience, not just equipment.
