Core Sensor 4S Control bar

The Sensor 4S is the bar the whole CORE range is built around. Its philosophy is simple and rare in kiteboarding: fewer parts means fewer things that can let you down.

SFS+ safety is the reason people buy it. On release the kite flags out completely on a single front line, with no residual pull. The system is IKO-certified and works both with fixed-bridle kites (Pace, Air) and with every pulley-bridled CORE kite. That is versatility most bars do not have: one bar for the whole quiver.

CIC quick release, ISO 21853:2020 certified. The standard defines release force not only dry but under sand, load and extreme temperatures, and it also governs part thickness and colour so the mechanism is recognisable across brands. A revised fork lever keeps the click-in reliable; a green indicator reduces the chance of misuse.

A new carbon bar shaft. The long-fibre carbon-reinforced polymer turned out strong enough that the titanium insert inside the shaft is no longer needed. The bar got stiffer and lighter at once.

Power Lines by Liros. CORE state plainly that they reworked them on customer feedback: roughly 10% larger in section, hence noticeably stiffer and more robust. Less stretch means a more consistent feel on the bar and less re-trimming.

Details you only notice over time. The 4:1 adjuster quarters the force needed, and still works at the top of the range. Front lines untwist automatically on a ceramic bearing. A Flextrim clip sits in the floater, so backlines adjust without untying anything. And the service inserts in the middle of the shaft can now be replaced without taking the bar apart.

Width changes with a finger. 50 or 46.5 cm, via a rotating mount hidden in the bar ends. A shorter 45/41.5 cm shaft is available for small kites and wakestyle.

How it differs from the Pro. Only the lines. The 4S runs Power Lines, the 4S Pro runs Tectanium 2 — thinner, stiffer, even more direct. Everything else is identical. If you do not chase nuances in feedback, the standard 4S is more than enough.
