Description
The Pace is CORE's all-rounder, and it does two things that normally rule each other out: jump high and turn fast. The maker calls this the Pace paradox outright.
How it works. Height usually comes from a stretched outline, turning speed from a compact one. CORE made the Pace even more stretched than the XR, then built it on just three struts. Three struts turn faster, more directly and more freely than five — you feel it in kiteloops and in waves alike. The stretched outline still delivers height, hangtime and stability in the air.
Fixed 14-point Tectanium bridle. This is what made the stretched outline possible: fourteen points support the arc of the kite, which allowed a thinner leading edge diameter and tighter control over its position in the wind window. Loops run evenly with no progression, and the turning radius is yours to steer.
How it differs from the Pro. CORE say it plainly: the Pace has lower steering and holding forces than the Pace Pro. Handling is softer and simpler without compromising base pull. Same character, less physical and technical demand.
ExoTex airframe. Moderate power delivery, good turning behaviour and strong drift — that last point is what makes the Pace usable in waves, not just on flat water.
Who it is not for. Anyone who wants the maximum in one discipline. For height, the XR Pro 2; for loops and control at the extreme, the Pace Pro 2; for waves and foil, the NXS. You buy a Pace when you want one kite for everything rather than a quiver per style.
