Description
HIPE is GONG's inflatable board range for wing foiling and SUP foiling. An inflatable solves two problems a rigid board can't: it fits in airline luggage, and it shrugs off hitting a reef or a boat. The old price for that was flex — but Woven Dropstitch construction with a composite plate has closed most of that gap.
The HIPE Cruzader is the inflatable downwinder and the most specialised board in the range: light-wind winging and, obviously, downwind runs.
Its outline is unusual for inflatable technology, and it exists for one purpose — to get up to takeoff speed on days a normal board never leaves the water.
Not a first board and not a only board. But if you already ride and keep hitting the light-wind ceiling, it opens up days you used to sit out.
