Description
HIPE is GONG's inflatable board range for wing foiling and SUP foiling. An inflatable solves two problems a rigid board can't: it fits in airline luggage, and it shrugs off hitting a reef or a boat. The old price for that was flex — but Woven Dropstitch construction with a composite plate has closed most of that gap.
The HIPE First is the most accessible board in the range for learning, designed for strapless riding: at the first-flight stage straps get in the way more than they help, and falling without them is safer.
A board like this isn't meant to accelerate — it's meant to forgive. There's enough volume to stand and paddle while the wing hasn't caught yet, and to climb back on after a fall without a fight.
