Description
HIPE is GONG's inflatable board range for wing foiling and SUP foiling. An inflatable solves two problems a rigid board can't: it fits in airline luggage, and it shrugs off hitting a reef or a boat. The old price for that was flex — but Woven Dropstitch construction with a composite plate has closed most of that gap.
The HIPE Diamond is a mid-length, and that's the whole idea: the glide of a downwind board with the handling of a compact one.
It takes off early without giving up versatility — freeride, freefly, freesurf, jumps. The extra length buys glide rather than speed: the board carries longer between pumps and rides softer through chop.
