Description
The Hull Rider is a longboard for glide rather than snap, and its whole geometry serves that.
The gentle hull bottom creates connection with the water: the board rolls across the surface rather than slicing it. A teardrop concave cut into the nose does two jobs — added lift while noseriding and less swing weight through turns.
The flatter entry rocker is about paddling: less nose curve means more working length in the water, so you can glide into waves from way out the back.
The downturned rail with a hard edge supplies speed: you can roll the hull over onto a hard rail and go fast while keeping that smooth gliding feel.
Who it isn't for. Vertical surfing and competition have the TJ Pro — a different philosophy. And in small choppy surf the length gets in the way.
