A twinzer runs two main fins with two small canards ahead of them — effectively the thruster idea approached from another direction.
Kenson tells the story. He started making twinzers right after seeing Martin Potter ride one at Lower Trestles in 1989. Back then twins were known to offer more speed and manoeuvrability than single fins — and those twins were the foundation for what became Simon Anderson's Thruster. Watching Potter that day, it was clear to Kenson that a twinzer setup had potential as a real innovation on the thruster.
The result is this model: the iconic design with better transitions and more turns.
Helium construction — a stringerless EPS core with flex controlled at the rails.
Who it isn't for. It needs its own fins: a plain twin or thruster set won't fit — take the Stu Kenson Twinzer set. And a twin takes adjusting to; the tail behaves differently.
