The front foot pad grew out of what surfers like Kevin Schulz and Timmy Reyes needed: grip in mid-air, where nothing holds the foot down.

The key spec is thickness — this pad is far thinner than most front foot traction. That's deliberate, so the switch from wax doesn't feel abrupt while still gripping better than wax does.

The side benefit is obvious to anyone who has left a board in a hot car: wax melts and ruins your interior and your bag. A pad doesn't.

The tread is rectangular, the most sensitive one. It's sized to suit the front foot position on any shape, from performance shortboard to midlength.
