Slater tells the story himself: he started on twin fins, moved to thrusters with the rest of surfing in the early 80s, dabbled with twins over the years, and only recently spent real time refining boards and fins for a performance twin. The result is this template, built for tight, in-the-pocket surfing without the feeling of having too much fin.

Two different trailers come in the box, and they give the board two different characters:

Twin + stabiliser. A small third fin adds tracking stability while barely touching the twin's freedom. The compromise for anyone who finds a pure twin too loose in the tail.

Twin + full trailer. Closer to a thruster: more hold through a turn and more predictable behaviour in powerful surf.

Single tab variants are compatible with the Futures fin system.

Who it isn't for. A twin takes adjusting to — the tail releases more readily than on a thruster and you have to catch it. Start on a thruster.
