Machado drew this set for his Seaside model and it became the best-selling quad in the range. It works in any quad board, though, not just a Seaside.
The maker describes the character by comparison: the drivey, bassy feel of a keel set, delivered as a quad. If you've ridden keels, that pull is familiar — with more freedom in the tail.
The story starts with the Go Fish around 2016. Machado had always loved keels and had barely ridden quads before 2018. While synthesising the Go Fish into what became the Seaside, he noticed something about quad fins that most surfers take for granted — and this template came out of it.
Single tab variants are compatible with the Futures fin system.
Who it isn't for. A quad won't fit a thruster board. And if you want sharp pocket work, a quad leans toward the long arc instead.
