The Acton is CrazyFly's freeride-specific board for riders who want quality and performance without paying for carbon. It is aimed at a wide range of riders, from beginners through to intermediates.
Easy upwind. A refined outline and an improved 3D pattern on the wood core help the board go upwind, and Step Cap deck technology gives thinner rails for better edging and tracking. A proven single concave bottom keeps the ride smooth and predictable.
Comfort. The Acton has a medium-soft flex — 570 to 550 on CrazyFly's 0–1000 stiffness scale, much softer than the Raptor family — which takes the sting out of chop and makes landings forgiving. The full wood core gives it improved pop, so it keeps up as you progress to your first jumps.
Build. A full 3D CNC-shaped wood core, multiaxial fibreglass that adds torsional flex while staying strong, Fusion sidewalls, invisible inserts and injection-moulded carbon fins. Made in CrazyFly's factory in Europe.
Numbers. 138x43 and 140x42 weigh 3.0 kg, 145x44 weighs 3.2 kg. Stance 38/42/46 cm.
Who it is not for. Once you are boosting hard and riding powered every session, the softer flex will hold you back; that is the time to step up to the Rootz or Raptor. It is a twin-tip for wind, not a light-wind specialist — for very light days, the Cruiser LW.
Size. The 145x44 planes earliest and suits heavier riders; 138 and 140 are easier to turn for lighter riders. Message us with your weight and we'll pick one.
