CrazyFly Raptor 2026 Kiteboard

The Raptor has been in CrazyFly's range for nineteen years, and it is still the board the brand points intermediate to advanced riders to when they want one twin-tip for freeride and freestyle.

What makes it work. Double carbon stringers on the deck and bottom give the Raptor its lively feel and strong load-and-pop, while CrazyFly kept the flex comfortable. The lay-up is triaxial 45° E-glass, which supports the board in three directions: stiffer from heel to toe for pop, softer along the length for comfort and softer landings. The outline has been refined to maximise bottom area without feeling bulky.

Upwind and grip. An edge control track on the bottom adds grip, a subtle centre vee adds speed under control, V-shaped tips help you load up for jumps, and Step Cap deck technology allows thinner rails for sharper edging and strong upwind. Fusion sidewalls, a CNC-shaped wood core, invisible inserts that don't interrupt the flex, injection-moulded carbon fins and a registered lost-and-found code complete the package. It is built in CrazyFly's own factory in Europe.

Numbers. 135x41, 137x41 and 137x43 weigh 2.8–2.9 kg; 140x42 is 2.9 kg; 143x43 is 3.0 kg. On CrazyFly's 0–1000 stiffness scale the sizes run from 750 down to 700 — medium-stiff. Stance options 38, 42 and 46 cm; it works with pads and straps or with wake bindings.

Who it is not for. For first lessons, the softer, cheaper Acton is the easier board. If you want maximum pop for big air, the Raptor Extreme is stiffer and built for hard landings; if you want the lightest, smoothest ride in chop, the Raptor LTD.

Size. Lighter riders and freestyle usually go 135–137, heavier riders and freeride 140–143. Send us your weight and we'll suggest the size.
