Naish Brand Review: From Windsurfing to Foils, Half a Century on the Water

Naish is one of the few brands whose history predates kitesurfing itself. Robby Naish was winning windsurfing world titles long before kiting became a sport, and it shows in the approach: the brand has an enormous foil branch and unusually long size ranges.

What is in the catalogue

124 Naish items. The distribution says more than any description.

Three suffixes: Q Series, LTD and NVision

The key to the whole range, and without it the prices make no sense. Take the Pivot 2026, which exists in every variant at once.

A twofold spread within one model. That is more than the gap between different models at many brands, and we unpack it separately.

In short: Q Series and LTD are construction tiers, NVision is the ceiling. And the stated purposes differ: the base Pivot is "freeride and waves", the LTD "freeride and high jumps", the NVision "waves and high jumps".

The kites: who does what

Pivot — the brand's core model. Freeride and waves, 6 to 14 m². Five versions.

Boxer [Q]Series — freeride and light wind. And here is the interesting part: the range runs from 2.8 to 16 metres. Twenty-six options in one listing.

Psycho [Q]Series — high jumps and progression after lessons. From 1 576 €.

Hunt [Q]Series — freeride, from 1 225 €.

Torch — freestyle, six sizes from 9 to 16 m².

Xeon Trainer — 166 €. A trainer kite for first lessons on land.

A Boxer from 2.8 to 16 metres — why such a spread

Worth pausing on, because almost no other range does this.

A 2.8 is not a water kite. It is a size for snow, for very strong wind and for light riders. We covered the same logic with the Flysurfer PEAK6, which has a 2.5.

Sixteen metres is a genuine light-wind size, larger than most brands offer at all.

One model line covering both storm and calm is rare. Brands usually split the extremes across models, as Duotone does with the dedicated Juice for light wind.

Foils: where Naish is particularly strong

The most developed foil range in our catalogue after F-One, with one important difference.

Naish sells Semi Complete sets — assembled foils rather than a box of parts. The Kite Foil Semi Complete starts at 424 € in three front wing sizes: 650, 810 and 980 cm².

That undercuts most competitors' entry point. For comparison, the F-One Gravity FCT starts at 951 €.

Hover boards: thirteen positions with telling names

Micro Chip, Macro Chip, Mother Chip, Potato Chip — the names are playful, but the gradation by volume is precise.

Micro Chip — 5 litres at 80 cm. Macro Chip — 9 litres at 100 cm.
