Description

The Fly is the first step in Ozone's wing range. The maker lays the range out plainly — Fly → Flow V2 → Flux V2 → Flux V2 Ultra-X — and the Fly sits right at the start, built for people learning to wingfoil.

The main difference from the models above it is soft handles rather than a rigid boom. That's a deliberate choice for learning: soft handles forgive an imprecise grip, are easier to move along, are safer in a fall and don't punish your hands. A rigid boom gives more control and precision but assumes technique you don't have yet — while you're still finding your balance it gets in the way more than it helps.

Who it's for. A first wing, a rental fleet, a school. The Fly's job is to take you from first attempts to confident riding; after that the range offers the Flow V2, where the boom appears along with considerably more capability.

Unsure between the Fly and the Flow? Message us with your weight and level — our IKO instructors ride this gear and will tell you where to start.

K1 instructor's take
“We ride this gear ourselves and teach on it. The main thing is picking the size for your weight and wind: bigger in light wind, smaller when it blows. If you're unsure, message us — we'll put together an honest setup, no upselling.”
Sergey Alesenko — IKO Instructor L3, founder of K1
