Description
The Flite 5S is a kite about height. Five struts give a solid platform in strong wind and turbulent air: you can load the lines with confidence and go up.
The airframe is built from ALUULA — a composite Ocean Rodeo developed with ALUULA Composites. At half the weight it is twice as strong in tension as Dacron. On the water that is not a brochure line: a frame that light keeps the canopy flying from around eight knots, where a conventional kite has already dropped, and a stiffer material stops the profile flexing in a gust, so the bar gives clean feedback.
The character is deliberately forgiving — this is big air without the angry megaloop. Explosive lift, long hangtime and a predictable landing, rather than a fight with the kite on the way down.
