Ocean Rodeo was founded in 2001 on Canada's west coast, where the water is cold, the wind is harsh and gear is tested without allowances. For over twenty years the brand built kites and drysuits for exactly those conditions.
Every inflatable kite in the world is built from Dacron: a proven fabric, but a heavy one. Together with ALUULA Composites the brand developed a material twice as strong in tension and half the weight.
An airframe half the weight keeps the kite flying from eight knots, where a conventional one already drops. A stiffer material holds its shape in a gust, so the bar gives clean feedback. Faster turns, longer drift in the waves.
