Description
The same shirt as the long-sleeve version, cut short for heat. UPF 50+ means the fabric passes less than one fiftieth of the UV, and unlike sunscreen that protection doesn't wash off or need reapplying every two hours.
The fit is a relaxed t-shirt cut. The practical value is that kids actually keep it on: a compression rash vest tends to come off at the first opportunity, while this is indistinguishable from a normal t-shirt except that it dries instantly.
Seams are flat locked, so there's no raised ridge where the arm lies on the board while paddling.
Who it isn't for. The forearms stay exposed — for a full day under tropical sun take the long sleeve. No warmth. And a compression fit works better under a wetsuit than a relaxed one.
