Description
The STRIKE QuadX is the sixth-generation STRIKE with its whole airframe made in QuadX Composite, a laminated fabric F-One developed in-house. The STRIKE character stays — speed, upwind ability, stability, responsiveness and efficient take-offs — with a clear step up in performance and comfort.
Why QuadX. F-One says the material's mechanical properties control deformation better, increase responsiveness and durability, and make the wing easier to handle. It is also lighter: every size weighs less than the standard STRIKE, from 1.45 kg for the 2.0 m² to 2.52 kg for the 6.0 m² (versus 1.57 and 2.89 kg).
Sweep Control Panel. As on the STRIKE, a panel on the leading edge manages trailing-edge tension and controls rearward deformation, giving lateral flex for comfort and energy transfer when pumping. On the water F-One highlights very consistent pull.
Sizes and wind. 2.0 m² 35+ knots, 2.5 30+, 3.0 28–38, 3.5 25–36, 4.0 22–32, 4.5 18–28, 5.0 14–25, 5.5 12–22, 6.0 10–20. Span 2.01 m to 3.46 m.
Who it is not for. Learners don't need a premium laminate; the standard STRIKE or the ORIGIN are kinder to the budget and to crashes while you learn. For light wind above 6 m², the STRIKE CWC.
Size. Same as the STRIKE — 5.0 m² for most 70–85 kg riders. Ask us for your numbers.
