Description
The ADDIKT is F-One's kite for kitesurfing on a surfboard and strapless freestyle, and the successor to the well-known BANDIT-S. It is built in CODE-TEC, which F-One says is lighter and stiffer than any of its other materials, for responsiveness and stability.
In the surf. The ADDIKT has an efficient low end and steady traction, and it turns as if it were a smaller kite. Depower is immediate and smooth, and the kite steers precisely even when sheeted out. It handles gusts and lulls and stays out of the way in the waves and in your movements.
Drift. Its drift is the key trait: you can ride underpowered and let the kite drift with you so it doesn't disturb your wave, or ride with more power for strapless freestyle.
Sizes and wind. Ten sizes: 3.5m 40+ knots, 4m 30+, 5m 25+, 6m 23+, 7m 20+, 8m 16–25, 9m 14–22, 10m 12–22, 11m 10–20, 12m 9–20. Kite-only weight from 1.65 kg to 3.20 kg. Up to 10m on a 45 cm bar, 11m and 12m on 52 cm.
Who it is not for. Big Air riders on twin-tips will get more lift and hangtime from the TRIGGER or BANGER. If you are learning, the BANDIT or ONE are easier all-round first kites.
