📖 Full F-One BANDIT BRAINCHILD Kite review on the blog →Description
The BANDIT is F-One's all-round kite, and the Brainchild edition is its 18th generation. It stays true to what riders like about the BANDIT — intuitive and predictable — and adds the latest Brainchild technology for more control and versatility.
Bridle and bar feel. A new hybrid bridle gives more control, precise handling and a more direct connection. F-One highlights a crisp bar feel, consistent steering pressure and predictable behaviour at both the low and the high end of the range.
Shape. The aspect ratio has been slightly increased — the highest ever on a BANDIT — which smooths airflow for more responsive turning and more efficient depower. The depower system is also refined for accessibility, letting the kite sit more precisely in the window.
Sizes and wind. 6m 25–40 knots, 7m 23–40, 8m 20–35, 9m 15–30, 10m 12–26, 11m 11–24, 12m 10–22, 14m 8–20. Kite-only weight from 1.98 kg (6m) to 3.26 kg (14m). Up to 11m on a 45 cm bar, 12m and 14m on 52 cm.
Who it is not for. An all-rounder is not a specialist. If you only want maximum height, the TRIGGER is designed for it; for surf and strapless, the ADDIKT. Beginners on a tighter budget can start with the ONE.
Choosing. The BANDIT is the kite we'd point most freeriders to as a single quiver. A 75–85 kg rider usually covers Mui Ne's winter wind with a 9m and a 12m; ask us and we'll confirm for your weight.
