Description
The Greedy Beaver resolves a contradiction: the paddle power and glide of a long board against the manoeuvrability of a short one.
Here's how. A large planing surface and single-to-double concave let it trim effortlessly over dead sections where a short board bogs. Put it on rail and step on the rounded pin, and it surfs like a shortboard in the pocket.
One detail worth noting: the bevelled rail. It reduces the board's apparent thickness — the volume stays in the body while the edge enters the water thin, which is where the rapid direction changes come from.
The practical point is simple: more waves per session, and in a crowded line-up the ability to thread your way through the pack.
Helium Core. A stringerless EPS core with flex controlled at the rails by Paulownia and Balsa. Light and lively underfoot, good at generating speed in everyday waves.
Who it isn't for. A crossover has no business in powerful, hollow surf. And anyone chasing pure noseriding wants a noserider, not this.
