Description
One pad for different boards: the same pieces make a narrow two-piece or a wide three-piece. Width matters — a shortboard pad on a wide Seaside or Sweet Potato tail leaves bare deck at the edges and your foot slides off the side.
The pad is flat, with no arch and no tail kick. That isn't a simplification but a decision aimed at Machado's grovellers: your foot moves constantly on those, and a high kick locks it in place.
The tread is square — the most sensitive of the range, maximum feedback from the deck. It's usually chosen by surfers who never liked traction and rode wax.
Made from BLOOM algae foam.
Who it isn't for. Anyone who braces the back foot against a kick through vertical turns — there's no kick here. Performance shortboards want the three-piece arch.
