Description
The Session is a wave and strapless kite. The defining trait is drift: the kite's ability to sit in the window and not fall while you ride the wave and the lines go slack. Without drift wave riding is impossible — the kite folds exactly when you let the bar go.
The Team version differs in the leading-edge material: Ho'okipa is a woven ultra-PE the maker rates as up to ten times stronger and stiffer than conventional cloth. That allows a smaller edge diameter without losing stiffness.
For waves the consequence is direct: less diameter means less drag and less weight, so the kite reacts faster and drifts better. The Load Frame spreads load across the canopy.
Who it isn't for. For school and rental a lightweight build is unnecessary and dearer. Same for beginners, who won't feel what they're paying for. And unhooked freestyle wants the Razor.
