Description
Starboard has been building windsurf, SUP and foil boards since 1994, with its own factory and shape lab rather than contract production. That is where the racing pedigree comes from.
The FreeWing AIR V5 is the most versatile wing in the line-up and the sensible place to start. A medium-aspect shape with no bias toward racing or freestyle: equally happy cruising, in waves, downwinding or through your first tricks.
The canopy uses Ultra-X cloth, which holds its shape and survives treatment ordinary ripstop does not — and a wing spends its life being dropped on sand and carried by hand.
It ships with a Pistol Grip prepreg carbon boom. The grip angle follows the natural position of the hand, so your wrist stays straight and your forearm lasts through a long session.
Sizes from 2.5 to 5.5 m², two colourways.
