The FreeWing PRO V2 is the race wing of the line-up — Starboard describes it as their highest-performing wing, built around speed and riding sensation.
What that means on the water: a race wing holds its shape under load and doesn't breathe in the gusts, so the energy you put in goes into speed rather than into deforming the canopy. The feel is direct and sharp — and it asks more of the rider.
Sizes 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 and 6.5 m² — a racing spread, with no small sizes.
Said plainly: if you don't race, you will experience the difference as 'stiffer and angrier', not as 'better'. For learning and freeriding, take the AIR.
