The Pistol Grip is the prepreg carbon boom that ships with the FreeWing AIR, available separately as a replacement or an upgrade from soft handles.
A rigid boom buys two things. Your hand goes anywhere along its length rather than into three fixed positions, so you can shift grip mid-run and unload your forearm. And the grip angle follows the natural position of the hand, keeping the wrist straight.
The honest trade-off: weight and pack volume. Worth weighing if you fly with your gear monthly.
