First, what a parawing actually is, because it's a new category and there is a lot of confusion around it. It's a soft wing with no inflatable structure: no leading edge bladder, no struts, no pump. You fly it on a short bridle and a bar. The practical consequence is the important one — you can stash it away while riding, tuck it into a waist pack and carry on gliding on the foil alone. Hence the name.

The Pocket Rocket V2 is Ozone's do-it-all parawing for all levels. Their paragliding and foil kite departments contributed to the design, and it shows in the air: the flying feel is efficient and very intuitive.

What changed in the second version. The aspect ratio came down, giving a wider low-wind range and more grunt — you get up on foil faster. The new elliptical outline makes the response livelier and the bar feel more progressive. A diagonal rib support structure improves canopy tension, which in turn improves upwind performance and low-end power.

The bridle is shorter, an idea borrowed from the bigger PowerPack, and a new Bow Bar gives more control. The more compact shape solves the same practical problem as on the Liteforce: you're less likely to catch a tip in the water than on the V1.

One more addition — extra power can be generated by pumping the wing itself. In light wind that gets you going.

Best suited to almost everyone, beginner to experienced. A parawing isn't a replacement for a wing — it's a different way to ride: nothing rigid in your hands, and the option to put the wing away and simply glide.
