Description

The PowerPack is Ozone's parawing built for one job: packing the wing away mid-ride and gliding on. Stash & glide is the model's motto. Where the Pocket Rocket is a do-it-all, the PowerPack is made for downwinders and lap after lap of swell.

Single surface design. One skin rather than two. It generates ample lift at low airspeed, handles forgivingly, and weighs and packs down significantly less than double-surface wings. For a wing you stash ten times a session, that's the decisive quality.

Fewer ribs than the Pocket Rocket. Less weight and bulk, faster stashing — and, more importantly, the canopy opens cleanly on redeployment without needing careful handling.

Short bridle and a centre front line riser. You can bundle the lines within arm's reach, and the centre riser excludes the wingtip lines from the bundle, cutting hand forces and putting the canopy seconds away. The bridle material is new, developed specifically for parawings: your hands slide up the lines without rash, and packing comes out tangle-free.

The Bow Bar. The central leader line is gone, so the middle of the bar is open and you can place your hands wherever suits. A 36 cm bar across all sizes. Control is more progressive: power builds gradually with angle-of-attack change rather than arriving in a lump.

The low aspect ratio works with the short bridles to keep the wing naturally positioned in the power zone, without constant correction. The rounded parachute shape catches a good burst of wind and lifts you onto the foil.

The leading edge is reinforced with flexible plastic battens that hold the profile through angle-of-attack changes. The cloth is double ripstop with a water-shedding coating for easier water relaunch.

Sizes: 1.9 / 2.4 / 3 / 3.6 / 4.3 / 5 m. Rider level from solid intermediate upward. Factory build time is around 25 days, custom colours 30.

What riders say. Ozone ambassador Andy Corbe reports near-100% redeploy success after a neat pack-down, and getting on foil then collapsing the wing in around ten seconds.

Ozone recommend pairing the PowerPack with a fixed loop harness line and a stash harness or belt: less upper-body fatigue, better upwind performance, longer sessions.

K1 instructor's take
“We ride this gear ourselves and teach on it. The main thing is picking the size for your weight and wind: bigger in light wind, smaller when it blows. If you're unsure, message us — we'll put together an honest setup, no upselling.”
