GONG Ayto Kite

The Ayto is GONG's high-performance Big Air kite, built to go very high, very far and very hard: massive jumps, kite loops, megaloops and modern aerial tricks, plus riding at the top of the wind range. GONG says the 2026 version pushes every Big Air slider to the top, and it is aimed at the most demanding and committed riders.

Design. A high aspect ratio, a revised arc, a centred surface, a very stiff five-strut structure with the struts moved towards the centre, thinner and faster wingtips and a direct seven-point bridle without pulleys. Everything, GONG says, is optimised to climb higher, turn faster and stay in full control.

In the air. The kite is quick and manoeuvrable and generates a lot of lift. Its aspect ratio gives it plenty of hold, so you can load the kite hard and still pop cleanly when you arrive at full speed. Loops come with precision and the kite pulls out of them strongly instead of stalling, which is why the megaloop is part of its DNA. GONG also notes that, cruising, the 12m handles like a 9m.

Sizes. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 m², in Dacron and in Aramid and Aramid DP versions.

Who it is not for. GONG is clear that this is the kite of experienced riders and pros. If you are still learning to jump, a more forgiving all-round kite will get you further faster.
